Considered one of Australia's tech success stories Naomi Simson founded RedBalloon in 2001. From just an idea and persistence, redballoon.com.au has now served more than 2.5 million customers. She has many labels: entrepreneur, speaker, director, mother, author, blogger, innovator and a passionate individual to name a few. And now TV personality with her appearance on Channel 10's Shark Tank. Before founding RedBalloon with business partner Peter, she worked with big brands, IBM, Apple, KPMG and Ansett Airlines. All of which influenced her views on workplaces.
Being a LinkedIn Influencer with some 800,000 followers, a much sought after speaker. Her first book, "I want what she is having" was touted by The Australian "as an essential business read". Her second book is "Live what you Love".
Naomi has received a number of high profile awards including the 2008 National Telstra Business Women's Awards for Innovation and in 2011 she won the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Industry category. In 2013 she won a global silver Stevie Award for her achievements within the Australian business community and she won the the Pearcey ICT Tech Awards, which celebrate technology entrepreneurship in NSW.
