Maria has been a chief executive, director or senior executive in companies with national and international operations for the past 15 years. She has broad industry experience including funds management, investment banking, biotechnology, manufacturing, retail and distribution. Having worked in industries with multiple regulatory, structural and market constraints she has the ability to understand and solve complex problems.

In her current role Maria runs an integrated pharmaceutical development company with consumer health products on the global market, and substantial research and development programs in cancer therapeutics and diagnostics. Cellmid's product development programs involve biological therapies and the business extends to over three continents including Europe, USA and Asia (India, China and Japan).

Maria has a strong track record in successfully restructuring businesses and creating shareholder value in her senior executive roles. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has board experience in listed public, unlisted and private companies as well as acted on advisory boards of non-profit organisations.

Maria is a great believer in promoting the issue of more women in senior corporate roles, equal pay and equal opportunities generally in the workplace. She is also involved with charities, including the CEO Sleepout (homeless services) and cancer organisations.
