Lynette was owner and Executive Chair of Work Wear World, a leading supplier of work and safety apparel to some of Australia's largest corporations. She sold it to focus on other on opprotunities including the leadership program at Chief Executive Women and Richard Branson's B Team initiative.

Lynette is a member of Women Chiefs of Enterprise International and has a Prime Minister's Centenary Award for leadership in business.

Lynette began her career in business management and education. During the first 10 years of her career, she worked in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Switzerland and Kenya, East Africa, where she established and ran an Institute of Technology.

During the 1980's Lynette held senior positions with Manufacturers Hanover Trust, Pan American World Airways and National Broadcasting Company in New York City, whilst studying for her MBA in Finance from NYU. She also co-authored a book on managing human resources which is included in the US Library of Congress.

Lynette returned to Australia and wrote a book on Executive Information Systems that was translated in to Spanish and distributed worldwide.

During the 90s, she held Chief Executive positions with Lend Lease Corporation. As Chief Executive of Lend Lease Corporate Financial Services and subsequently Lend Lease Corporate Services, she was responsible for several of the financial services businesses in Australia and Asia. Her accomplishments include taking the fledgling corporate funds management group to number one in Australia in three years; creating a new financial services distribution channel to corporates; and expanding the financial services business to Asia.

In the late 90's Lynette was responsible for building a global business for Lend Lease in the Information Technology and Telecommunications arena by investing in companies that provided IT services to corporations. She created the following joint ventures, each a leader in its field, and was a Director on each Board:

• IBM Global Services Australia, a joint venture between IBM, Telstra and Lend Lease.
• Advantra, also a Lend Lease joint venture with IBM and Telstra.
• SITEL Asia Pacific, a joint venture with SITEL (the global leader in teleservicing).
• coolsavings.com inc was the leading USA Internet coupon and relationship marketing company.

In addition, she was responsible for incubating two new Internet businesses in the USA.

Lynette has also held positions on a state (NSW) Health Industry Council (Chair); the Australian Government Trade Policy Advisory Council and APEC; the ACTU-Lend Lease Foundation; and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia's Diversity Council.
