Laura has an extensive background in venture capital and joined Russell Reynolds Associates as an Executive Director in the Consumer and Technology sectors based in Melbourne.

Prior to Russell Reynolds Associates, Laura was the CEO and co-founder of Scale Investors. As the inaugural CEO, she established the company to educate and empower women investors by sourcing hundreds of female-led startups and facilitating investments.

Previously, she was an Investment Manager with Starfish Ventures and Investment Partnerships Director with Opportunity International Australia. She began her career at PwC, where she spent eight years in valuation advisory, working in both London and Melbourne.

Laura is a qualified yoga teacher and has also completed several endurance events. She was recognised in 2016 as an AFR / Westpac 100 Women of Influence.

Laura holds an MA in natural sciences and management studies from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in development finance from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
