Kathy Townsend is Managing Director of a top tier executive search firm which assists organisations in the Corporate, Government and Not-for-Profit sectors to identify exceptional candidates to fill positions at CEO, MD, GM and NED level.

The company has a broad client base and a reputation for flexibility, innovation, excellence in client service and strong business ethics. It has a very high percentage of repeat business and is noted for the comparatively high number of successful appointees who are women.

Prior to establishing her own firm in 1999, Kathy was a Partner with Amrop International. She came to the search industry from government where she was the Head of the Office of the Status of Women in Canberra. Kathy has worked in international development in Malaysia and Pakistan and maintains an interest in this field from both a work and personal perspective.

Kathy is Deputy Chancellor of Swinburne University and sits on Board Committees for Australian Volunteers International and Fitted for Work.
