Katherine is an experienced commercial Board Director specialising in urban management, banking and finance and economic development. She has strong strategic abilities, commercial acumen and international experience across banking, property, infrastructure, trade and investment, urban development and the environment. Through her Board and executive roles in government and the private sector Katherine has a deep knowledge of regulatory and governance frameworks and the responsibilities to shareholders, stakeholders and the community.
Katherine has served as a Chief of Staff and Advisor to Federal and State Government Ministers and Deputy Mayor, Woollahra Municipal Council where she served as a Councillor for five years. She served as Trustee and Chair of Local Government Super and currently serves as Chair of Rookwood General Cemetery, Director of the Sydney Institute and Chair of Sydney East Business Chamber.
In 2017 Katherine founded the Cities Leadership Institute a not for profit to build the capacity of urban leaders. As Executive Director of the Institute Katherine leads policy, practice and programmes to address local, national and global urban challenges.
Katherine was appointed Executive Director, Sydney Business Chamber in 2019.
Katherine appears regularly in the media including on The Drum (ABC TV).
She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Masters of Business Administration and a Masters of US Studies (with Merit).
