Jan West AM is a non-executive director with experience in public sector, community and private organisations. Jan is director of Australia Post, Australian Red Cross Society, Neurosciences Victoria and Dairy Australia. She is also a member of Victoria's Department of Treasury and Finance's Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Her professional background is as a Chartered Accountant with 23 years as a partner of Deloitte, specialising in audit. She held the position, National Leader, Professional Standards Review for three years until her retirement in December 2011.

She has held the positions of National President and Chairman of the Board of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, Chairman of the Victorian Council and of the National Education Committee and currently chairs the Institute’s Professional Conduct Tribunal. Jan has also been a non executive director of the National Trust of Australia, EcoRecycle Victoria and Keep Australia Beautiful Council.

She was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2007 and awarded a Centenary Medal for services to the accounting profession and the community.

Jan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and of CPA Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
