Cherelle is a member of ANZ’s Research team. She analyses and forecasts the Australian economy and provides regular updates and insights on topics that are front of mind for ANZ’s clients. Cherelle has a special interest in fiscal policy and policy issues affecting the domestic outlook. Cherelle publishes regularly and presents to domestic and international clients and stakeholders. She also provides media commentary on key local economic issues.
Cherelle has also worked in ANZ corporate communications, holding the position of Senior Manager of Media Relations for two years. She also worked as a journalist for the Australian Financial Review for five years, including as Economics Correspondent for the paper in the Federal Parliamentary Press Gallery.
Cherelle began her career as a economic research analyst at the Reserve Bank of Australia. She holds a Commerce degree (Hons) from Curtin University and a Master of Population Studies from Australian National University.
Cherelle is formerly a director of an ACT Government Board and a private board. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Cherelle is the ACT chair of the Women in Economics Network.
