Carolyn Viney joined Vicinity Centres in October 2016 and has more than 20 years’ experience in construction, property development and real estate investment.

Prior to her current appointment, Carolyn was with Grocon where she held a number of senior roles over a 13 year period, including CEO, Deputy CEO, Head of Development and In-House Counsel.

Before this, Carolyn was a Senior Associate at law firm Minter Ellison. Carolyn is a Division Councillor of the Property Council of Australia’s Victoria Division, an Advisory Board Member to the Victorian Government’s Office of Projects Victoria and an Advisory Board Member of Women’s Property Initiatives, a not for profit housing provider to women and children at risk of homelessness.

Carolyn was a Non-Executive Director of the Australian Institute of Management (Victoria and Tasmania) and President of the Victorian Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). In 2011, Carolyn was awarded the NAWIC John Holland Award for Outstanding Achievement as a Businesswoman.
